This pistol has manual and grip safeties. There is a very slight side-side play between the slide and the frame. Overall, this pistol rates in about Very Good condition as refinished.
Most markings are clear, the Ordnance wheel is almost completely gone, “FJA” is shallow with soft edges, and the first two digits of the serial number are shallow and faint. The screw heads have some finish loss and range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The controls show light operational and handling wear. The barrel has light-moderate operational wear. The frame has a lighter gray coloring than the slide with similar scattered light marks, handling wear on the trigger guard and fronstrap and light marks around the slidestop. The slide has scattered light marks and finish wear and operational wear on the left forward of the dust cover with a few other scattered light marks. Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 85% of its current metal finish. We suspected it was an arsenal refinish, but there are no rearsenal markings.īore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. Overall, the grips are in about Fine condition.įinish Originality: Refinished. The checkering is sharp where not damaged. The left panel has a few compressed checkeres at the bottom-front, the right has a couple below center toward the rear and there are a few other scattered light marks. Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered drab brown plastic panels with reinforcement rings at the grip screws and internal reinforcement ribs.
The rear sight is a square notch dovetailed into the slide. Sights / Optics: The front sight is a short blade with the rear face serrated. The inside of the left grip panel has mold mark number “11” and a five-pointed star with “K” in its center, the right has “12” and the same star. The left of the barrel lug is marked “P” and the right of the lug is marked “HS”. The top of the frame is marked “G” behind the disconnector. The left of the trigger guard is marked “0”, the right of the trigger guard is marked “T” and “1”. The right of the frame is marked “FJA” above the trigger and “P” behind the magazine release.
